6 Items Of Clothing Every New Mum Should Have | Woombie

Once you welcome your baby to the family, a whole new world opens up for you. For starters, you need to adapt to the newly created changes that have stricken your universe now that your family has expanded.

But I'm not referring to the modifications you need to make concerning your newborn, but also the ones regarding your closet. Now, you no longer need to wear baggy clothes that are going to cover your pregnant belly.

It's time to freshen up your items of clothing with new ones that are going to make you feel beautiful and comfortable. If you need some ideas when it comes to this, then check out my suggestions below.

A Lovely Robe

I know that fashion is not your biggest priority now that the baby is here, which is why I’ve decided to suggest you something that’s going to make you feel both nice and comfortable. Having a cozy robe is ideal for new moms who’ve just had a C-section and would like to wear something that’s not going to further irritate the incision.

And that's precisely what a robe will do. If you decide to wear it, you do not need to have anything else, except for underwear. So instead of obsessing over whether you look elegant enough, treat yourself to this piece of clothing, sit back, relax, and enjoy these special moments with your precious angel.

This way, you'll not only feel comfortable but you'll also be prepared in case there are some uninvited guests on your doorstep.

Nothing Without A Cute Hoodie

I know that warmer weather is lurking around the corner, but it should deter you from buying a nice, comfy hoodie. After all, I believe that everyone feels nice in them, which is one of the main reasons why they’ve been popular for so many years.

Once you become a mom, you do not have a lot of free time on your hands to figure out what you’ll mix and match. You need pieces of clothing that can easily be combined with many other items of clothing.

And that's precisely what hoodies represent. You can wear them with jeans, skirts, shorts, dresses, and much other stuff. Fortunately, the online stores are loaded with popular cute hoodie brands that will make you want to buy not one, but dozens. If you pick one (or more) you’ll be able to comfortably execute any task in a blink of an eye, or if you want to simply curl up under a blanket and watch your favorite TV shows, you’ll be able to do this too.

Let’s Not Forget Comfy Underwear

I know that this isn’t exactly something that’s going to embellish your outfit, but who cares? At the end of the day, comfort is something that should be number one on your list, for the time being, which is why I’ve decided to add this as one of my suggestions.

Comfortable underwear (if you ask me) is something that every new mommy must have in their possession. I know that you are longing to feel sexy and whatnot, but now is not the perfect time to consider purchasing cheeksters, thongs, and other types of underwear.

As soon as you get back on your feet, you'll have lots of time to take into account other options. Am I right? This is particularly crucial if you've had a C-section. At the end of the day, you do not want to wear something that's too tight and that's going to put additional pressure on your back or belly.

If you do so, you’ll not only irritate the incision, but you’ll also feel a lot less comfortable, which isn’t something that you need at this very moment.

Embrace The Jeans

If you’re in the mood to wear something that makes you feel nice, yet that’s both elegant and comfortable at the same time, then you should definitely purchase a pair of jeans. However, as I stated numerous times above, you must prioritize comfort right now, hence focus on obtaining the jeans that will provide you with that.

Something that will make you feel like you are wearing a pair of tracksuit bottoms. Another thing that you can add to this outfit is a bit of Lycra. Why is that? Well, that’s because precisely this mixture is going to make you feel even more flexible.

I believe that this combination is both classy and comfortable, which is exactly what every mom needs right now.

Loose Pants

What I generally adore about this idea is the fact that you have so many options at your disposal. For example, you can opt for track pants, lounge pants, pajama parts, or whatever you currently perceive as the best possible solution.

The only thing that I would like to add when it comes to this is to bear in mind that the looser a pant is in the leg, the simpler it’s going to be for you to put the pants on and take them off without bending a lot.

And this is a factor that mustn’t be overlooked, particularly if you’ve gone through a C-section. You probably already know that in the first few weeks after the delivery you must concentrate on wearing something that’s comfy and that’s not going to cause a huge pain each time you must bend at the waist.

Another great thing about loose pants (which is especially important to new moms who obsess over every single thing) is the fact that nobody is ever going to notice that you are wearing those gigantic maternity pants.

Hat, Hat, Hat

When you become a mom, having a so-called bad hair day is a normal occurrence. After all, new mothers tend to be so exhausted from everything they do throughout the day that sometimes they simply forget to take care of their hair.

In these instances, there's nothing better than to wear a lovely hat that's going to cover any hair-related “flaw”, plus, will make you look amazing.

I know that most of you are currently mostly focused on the baby and everything it needs, however, I wanted to put together these fashion tips to help you out in case you do not have the slightest idea what to wear during this postpartum period.
